Pissy? Really? You will find I told you there was an absence of barber's notch. I also told you the blade had been reground. Perhaps instead of insulting those who answer your questions in the spirit of trying to help you overcome your obvious lack of knowledge by repeating those answers quoting "more knowledgable persons" (obviously not from this thread), you could consider the facts and truths. Pissy is something a sophmoric girl would say. She would also be quoted as to emitting "Yeesh". I expect that there is another place for you than here, where the more knowledgable people are
I wish you luck with the rest of this forum's members. You shall need it!

Nor did he say anything about the age being indicated by the style of washers.

But it's ALL a repeat of what he said and I'm wasting internets with my posting.

Perhaps you missed what Tom Originally said about your razor, I quote "The scales seem typical Wade and Butcher barber's use" and
"Save those collars!" Pretty clear to me!

Here's one that looks like a brother to yours. This one is reground and shortened, AND stamped.

I also have another that the "stamp" was etched and is nearly invisible. Perhaps yours was marked thusly at some point in its life and the mark has been buffed or just faded away from use.

I've also seen Frederick Reynold razors that look exactly like that. In my opinion there's no possibility to determine the manufacturer with 100% certainty. Especially with Sheffield razors, as there were very many manufacturers which at some point or other probably all had the same blade designs. I think it's a Sheffield razor, a nice looking one at that too.

I'm not too worried about the manufacturer. It's big and it's a Shef, good enough.

Thanks again for all you guys input.
