Unmarked wide razor, what is it?
Would some of you kindhearted and intelligent gentlemen care to make a guess what this might be? Nothing on the tang. It is going to be buffed out and rescaled, so thought I might pick your brains before I take it apart. Thanks.

The scales seem typical Wade and Butcher barber's use as does the tang.. Absence of barbers notch and seemingly reground concave from a wedge is indicated as well. I have one and it is a fine shaver. Save those collars!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Yeah, even without the tang stamp, it looks almost unmistakenly like a W&B. I could be wrong, but I think it is about as good a guess as you can get.

Re: Unmarked wide razor, what is it?
I have a Joseph smith razor that looks very similar, it is very hollow as well.
I agree the scales look like the w&b's I have seen. If it were mine I would hone and shave as it is, a fine piece of history.
Eric.
