There is also one new maker named Kanenaga, his kamisoris look very nice and can be found on the bay. He is 60-smth years old and used to make scissors, there are couple of good reviews arround the forums.. I have a Teramasa (tamahagane) and it's also great.

Could be, I've also seen these kamis on Rakuten and they look very similar.. I didn't notice the difference in spelling until you pointed it out.

Actually taking a good look at both, Kanetaga (at aframes) looks to be a better kami for the price. Looks nicer and you're right about the Tosuke influence. But that's just my opinion. (+Takeshi at aframes is a relly nice guy)

i believe Kanenaga, when he switched from scissor-making, learned from a smith who made for Henkotsu; im lookin at a new one from him if i can get this ol' Henkotsu here sharp enough to shave me

aargh searching using 'kamisori' gets beauty products on Rakuten .. razor or Japanese razor aint any better
