Scares the sh*t out of me, the very idea, I always wear underwear while shaving with a straight. I could live with out a toe or two, but I'd like to retain my 'manhood'.

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

You say "Any cleaned up eBay cheapie" would a honed Whipped Dog do the trick as well?

    Thank you,

Yes a whipped dog would do the trick.

Just curious, do you "shower shavers" have a mirror in there? How do you see what you're doing? I would think that to be kinda' dangerous. Also, the razor would probably slip out of my hand, & straight razors and gravity don't mix, especially when you're naked south of the border!

Yes I have a shower mirror in my shower for the days I shave in there. Which are mostly when me and my wife need to be in the bathroom at the same time. I started like shoki with the Parker then moved to a weck sextoblade and now just use whatever blade is in rotation at the time. Never had an issue with grip before at the sink or shower. I do keep a wash cloth out of the way of the water to dry my hands on in the shower.

Id not only worry about the privates, say with your best case scenario and you miss your body completely and hits the tile. You have at best simply just cracked scales, worse is a chipped blade and either have to have it honed anew or a pretty looking letter opener. Id seriously consider why you're shaving in the shower to begin with. If you are doing cause you're in a hurry, you have lost the art of this hobby.
