Yes its worth it, if the blad is in good shape as it seems to be, send it to Lynn (IMHO) he did mine and when I got it back i know what a good shave was going to fill like, so then I could do my best to keep it that way or get it back there. all my straights are less then $15.00 or free in a trade, so price is NOT a facture in "a good straight razor". Looks like a nice one, have fun and welcome aboard, you have come to the rigth place.

When I started using straights, I had a terrible time with anything but a rounded tip. Fileted my face royally.

Yeah then it is. I've got one and they are fantastic shavers. Definitely worth having it honed. That's really a very good blade.
