Restores are hard to quantify. It would be like calling an auto- body shop on the phone and saying how much to have some rust, a few dents removed and my car painted ?

There are too many variables in terms of what is left original, how long blade reconditioning and honing take, and finally scales. It seems to me it almost has to be case by case depending on condition and what the customer wants to end up with.

Another analogy is a sign I saw in a "speed shop" for muscle cars, "Speed is expensive, how fast do you want to go ?"
