    Default which TI?

As none of my family (ever) knows what to get me me for Xmas, I got a pile load of money

I want to get a nice TI with some of it.

There are several i like the look of

    Red Stamina leaf & Vine
    Red Stamina (ordinary one)
    Tortoise
    Pierre Thiers LE

Anyone got any of these - comments please ??

    Any other suggestions welcome

What about one of the horn-scaled 7/8s?

Yes, the bond horne razors are nice too !

I've only used a 5/8, so a jump to 7/8 would be a bit much for me.
I have though of buying a 6/8 though

I have the Pierre Thiers LE and it's a really excellent razor, if you can afford it then I'd say go for one of these. They shave superbly and also look a little different to most other razors, so they stand out and look a bit more special.

The other Limited Edition TI razors are also supposed to be very nice though too.

Yeah, those Pierre Thiers LE razors have been described as some of the best razors on earth by a few members here who have them. If this is your short list, I'd go that way if you can.

Lynn also said he got one of the egyptians from them and was so impressed with it he ordered another immediately.

Do you mean the one in the limited edition section at Classic Shaving priced $429.99?

That's the one. It apparently takes a great edge, holds it a long time and is a very comfortable shave. Nothing like working with perfect steel to make the shave sublime.

I have two of the Pierre Thiers LE's as well and would agree that they are superb shavers.

    Happy New Year!!!!
