    Default Ralf Aust Razors

    Hi,

I was researching online and found a straight razor manufacturer whos name is Ralf Aust.
The website is very basic and is : Ralf Aust | Rasiermesser-Manufaktur
I would like to ask if anybody heard about these razors and have some experience with them
I am considering buying the Kunststoff Black Razor but I am not sure if it is worth is comparing to Dovo models.

Specifically I am looking at this razor - http://www.nassrasieren.ch/Rasiermes...f-schwarz.html

    What do you say?

    Many thanks,
    Nik

My razor from Ralf Aust is a fine shaver, easy to rehone and nothing I
wouldn't recommend. In fact I like it a lot.

    Since I don't own a recent production Dovo I can't compare them.

    Hi,

Many thanks for your reply. I had ordered one as well
I think they are of a very high quality according to the checks that I had done over the internet.

Aust's razors are also available here:

Ralf Aust Razors : Shaving Shop - luxury classic wet shaving products - straight razors

I have a 6/8 Aust and enjoy it very much. It does take a nice edge. I also have a few Dovo's and like them just as well as the Aust.

That's interesting this razor - 6/8 Ralf Aust Spanish Point Carbon Steel - fancy black plastic : Shaving Shop - luxury classic wet shaving products - straight razors
looks ui Revisor razor, the same handle and blade, just signature is differnet.

The picture of the Revisor Razor that looks the same is on this forum - http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...or-razors.html

Do you know how is can be possible? I am not sure that these companies just put different names on the razors, or do they?

Edit -> Actually now when I look again the handle has the same view but the razor looks a little bit different - so they probably share handles?

Default Handles of the razors being reused

I decided to put some pictures in so you can see it immediately without going into the links.
Do you know if this is some local symbol or just somebody is creating the handles for different razors in Solingen and people buy it?
