    Congratulations!
This one should be like the solid straight bladed one without the replaceable blade. It may need the blade removed or not. To remove the blade lift up the lever with the jimps below the tang. You may need to remove the guard to do so. they made at least 3 models that I have seen. Look at the one without the blade you had.

Rotate the guard to above the spine and it will slip off the toe end. The guard coverage is adjusted by turning the pivot hinges in and out. Hone as a regular straight. They have very good steel and do make a fine shave...with or without the guard! Bye the way, watch the heel when shaving that is a really sharp corner without the guard..(don't ask!!)

Looks kind of like an akward teenager with some weird orthodontic apparatus got crossbred with a WECK hairshaper. Have fun!, (she looks like her mother)

thanks again i got it with your directions , it knew it had to something simple ..lol

also ive only set the bevel on it so far before i had to run out but id say your right , this thin blade is sharp right off the 1k .. i would of never thought about hitting it on the hone like a normal straight until you mentioned it .. !!
