Case, trust your instinct on it having more to give. That instinct is usually right. Remember the parts of Glen's vid on using tape well. It really pays off. Even if you have alot of strokes on your finisher. Refresh your tape for the last finishing strokes. If it still vexes you - happy to help. They're excellent shavers.

Thanks guys! I took your advice, watched Glens videos and used tape which I normally don't do. Now it is SHARP. It may be the sharpest razor I own. Im gonna shave right now to see how well it holds its edge.

Went great. Didnt even lose its edge one bit (on some razors i have to give it a few strops mid shave) great balance, sharp and wound up BBS.my shave station was awesome but i will look for one of those shaving mirrors on a swivel. I found myself leaning toward the mirror some. Shopped everywhere today and couldnt find one.

Good to hear the shave went well. Try bead bath and beyond found this swivel mirror quick for you. I keep hearing some really great things about heart steel razors maybe one day I will own one.

I was under the impression all Hart blades were finished on Eschers. If so, it should be plenty sharp, No?

No it wasn't. I thought it was weird too, because I got it straight from Hart. Maybe shave ready for them is not shave ready to me. The razors I have had honed by Lynn were MUCH sharper and I myself have put much sharper edges on other razors.
