What intrigues me with razors marked like that one is the "Sheffield Steel, Forged and Real Hollow Ground in Germany", as a marketing strategy. At the time that was made, or at least sometime before, Sheffield steel was the 'stuff' and I guess the public perception must have been that 'forged and ground in Germany' was a superior product ?
I've seen other high quality blades from that era and more recently with a similar bit of info stamped on the blade or on the box. I seem to recall reading, maybe in Robert A Doyle's book, that the Germans perfected hollow grinding before anyone else. Anyway, nice score.
