Nope this will be my first one I purchased another earlier this year but have yet to receive it So I decided to go right to a reputable vendor and get one.
I'm quite excited to try it out as I've heard only good things.

Ooh, sorry to hear that. That is why I like to ask people about their prior experiences before going through with a purchase since it never hurts to ask. I had an issue with a shady vendor before on Amazon. (Not on razors, but boxing gloves) Refunded me the money and all that jazz.

Let me know if it's shave ready or not, too. I was curious on that but Takeshi said it is shave ready.

Having an old Henkotsu myself already im undecided whether to go for a Kanenaga [who learned from a ex-Henkotsu guy]

or a new Kanetaka [from a long-established seven generations at 200 years]

or a seriously antique 17th century one ...

A 17th century one would be awesome! Not sure i would want to shave with it. I would feel guilty not putting it in a case and keeping it in the same condition.

An antique I would put it in a case, and like suits I wouldn't be using.
