Thanked: 0This should be checked out by a doc, preferably a hand surgeon. You certainly need a tetanus shot or booster, especially if it has been a few years since the last. Also, sometimes these wounds on the digits are treated differently and left more open than wounds elsewhere, because if it becomes infected and the infection moves inward, you could lose the digit.
By the way, if it was your own blood that you cut, doesn't matter that you reuse the same blade. After all, if there is a "blood bourne infection," you already have it!

s$%t happens.
My last and weirdest cut happened couple of days ago. I was sitting at my table honing my DOVO, when the phone rang.
The problem is that the phone is on the left side of the desk. So, reaching for it, I sliced my right hand's elbow (!!!), on the opened razor that I was holding in my left hand...
The moral of the story, the razor stays sharp even if you're not shaving with it...

I suspect you're on the way to recovery by now, but I don't think a doctor is necessary. You might try some butterfly sutures if you're not allowed to use CA. Take some medical tape and cut it into some bowtie shapes and place them in strategic locations over the cut to hold it togetther until it bonds. At any sign of infection, bathe the wound in a warm saline solition (a soaked cloth will do nicely) for about 20 minutes 3 to 4 times per day.
