I absolutely concur. I become overly cautious, especially with items costing me a pretty penny. We'll leave it at the conclusion of: If I don't like it, I'll take it off. If I miss it, I'll rewrap it. If I like it, I leave it. Hopefully it won't be too hard to rewrap it and I'll browse around to see some examples.

To be off-topic for a second, my iPhone still works perfectly fine. Thankfully it was in the head of my home, and not outside in a public restroom. Maybe it's the Otterbox I had on it, maybe it's the screen protector, or my quick reflexes on fishing it out.

You can make a game out of it. "See if I can stop water from getting on the handle". If you do re-wrap it let me know how it goes!

Did you get your kamisori yet, suit? That and play "How long can I use my razor without banging it on a faucet."

Yup I have a very old tosuke that has a ton of wear on it, but surprisingly gives me the best shaves I have ever had. I also have an iwasaki that shaves pretty well but I am sending out to get rehones. I have 2 others that I am trying to learn to hone with but are far from shave ready lol

Tosuke, that's the one with the blue grip? Can it come off if you tug on it hard enough? I was always curious but didn't ask anyone. With that money you spent on the kamisoris, I would save up for another suit and refer myself to suits234.

Yes it is. And yeah the blue grip comes off. It's rough to get it off. I take them off to hone as the rubber grips hold water if the seal they make on the metal gets altered.

Sounds like a good plan to me

I should get mine honed as well when I receive it. Where did you get yours honed?

Edit: I was thinking Lynn, or maybe Larry from Whipped Dog, or gssixguns.

If you have to send it out, go with Lynn or Glen or any of the other reputable people here that have honed a kamisori.

I had mine done by gssixgun. And like I said it was the sharpest blade I have ever used.
