They are one of the few good old school razor makers left.
They will ship it safe and sound.
Shave ready is up in the air.
My now decades old new TI was sharp enough new but the bevel was not well set
and when it did need honing it took a bit of work on my coti.
When you get it... shave test it.
If it needs honing send it out. If it shaves well strop and use as normal.
When it needs to be honed the odds of the bevel being ideal are only 50:50 so
plan to send it out once.... or plan to reset the bevel yourself when you need to hone it....
TI razor steel is harder than most old razor steel. Use a gentle touch and
revisit the hone as needed. A Norton combo 4k/8k pyramid method works well
as do other methods.
It will give you lots of pleasure. They make a fine razor.
EDIT: Gadzooks... rust and pitting on a new razor and painful return policies... woof....Last edited by niftyshaving; 04-12-2013 at 12:06 AM.
