Thanked: 12I wouldn't want anything covering any part of the blade as it just gives water more chance to hide. The first blade I got was all rusted inside the pivot and as most will say their the hardest part to clean since you need to go deep inside their with floss or w/e to clean it out. A wrap I would imagine could be even worse since its a form of cloth or fiber which can become moist and stay that way gradually letting moisture seep out onto the blade like a slow poison!!! 666 THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST!!!

Why not put a clear varnish on the handle once it's been cleaned and then re-wrap?

I'll just leave the handle bare, so I don't have to constantly rewrap and wrap every few months.
