    Angry Oh my gawd

Edit: Before and after with Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish

Sooo. I removed my wisteria wrap on my kamisori, and look what I found under it!

Wondering if I should get a metal polish for it, what do you gents think?

Well it wont get the pits out, but maas or flitz would take off the surface stuff. I would also coat it with renaissance wax before rewrapping as well, to help guard against future rusting.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

I'm not planning on rewrapping it and leaving the handle naked.

lol just gave me a reason to not like wraps around the handles... water can get under and the wraps and the wraps themselves can become saturated enhancing the rusting chances !!! naked is natural is beautiful ^_^

I'm glad I removed the wisteria wrap despite SRPers saying not to. Wish I didn't have to, though. Paranoia works best at times.

Off to get some Mother's Mag Polish.

ok, just a suggestion off the top of my head. Even if you decide to leave it bare. An option would be the electrical shrink wrap (just a thought I had), it comes in different colors, cut it to length, and a cigarette lighter...carefully heat it and it conforms to the handle shape. It's also water resistant once shrunk. I know you said you wanted it bare, but I figured someone, or you as well, could consider this an option as well. WD-40 will also get the surface rust off, but you would really need 0000 steel wool or scouring (sorry for spelling) to help. Metal polish has ingredients to help remove it with just a rag, and MAAS and Flitz have a protective quality to them as well.

WD-40 is not abrasive, it may still work on it's own but you may have to use steel whools (as suggested below) or may be fine sand paper.
