    Here a very interesting website, a day in the life of a young Sheffield Steel worker, it compares Sheffield workers from victorian times, to 1950's and 2000, covering how many hours they worked, food, pay,etc some audio as well.

    I'm close to being able to put together a similar overview of a worker in 1800, but there's still some reading to do.
