Thanked: 15After what seemed like an eternity, my Christmas gift to myself arrived today. I will be using it for the first time tomorrow and will report. I requested that this razor be made based on the judgment of Mastro Livi, with only a few suggestions of things I like. The razor he made me is absolutely beautiful. 8/8 Carbon Damascus with amboina scales. I am very pleased with the end product and am thankful I ordered it the way I did.

A luxury shave. A superior shaving soap, an impeccable brush and a superlative straight razor. And, by the way, my humble Bay Rum aftershave. Mastro Livi Damascus has an absolutely super smooth touch, velvety yet effective, not to mention the superior slickness and performance of the excellent Boellis Panama 1924 shaving soap: the result is memorable. A generous splash of my Bay Rum and, ladies and gentlemen, here it is my very luxurious shave! The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+

Go Jody, go!
I guess I saw that razor and brush already. I have to remember when and where, but I am sure I saw them already. Any clue?
Congratulations Jody: you still have one of the very finest Mastro Livi straight razor around! (Not to mention the brush! )
I guess the stuff in the background have something to do with that time. Am I wrong?
All that is bringing back great memories here as well. Oh, by the way, Mastro Livi says hi (well, he actually tells me to say hi to you every time I see him and he wishes you will come back to Perugia and visit him again. )The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+

Oh well! I guess I saw the making of this razor, too. I happened to be there when Mastro Livi was in the process of making your razor and, it is stunning in this picture, too!
By the way: how does it shave? How do you like it? Moreover, I guess it would be a great idea if you could add your Mastro Livi to the club. Thank you! Enjoy your beauty! The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+

Thanked: 15It is interesting that jodypress posted the picture of the SMN products, as that was my exact selection for the first shave with my new razor. I found this razor to be extremely easy to use, as the balance seems to be perfect to me. The shave is very smooth and there was absolutely no indication it was shaving except for the blade singing.
Antonello ...... the next time you see Mastro Livi, please express to him my gratitude for making me a truly fine razor. And thank you as well for your advice.

Thanked: 228Ok guys! I've had it with this thread! I'm gonna have to boycott it! Do you know what us guys without a Mastro Livi have to go through every stinking time after looking here? All the oohing and aahing! The drawn out sighing! The drooling all over ourselves and clothing. All the looking at our bank accounts trying to figure out a way to buy one of these razors! Sigh! One day!
