I am getting ready to go back home and, before packing, I shaved with this Mastro Livi K720 straight razor, so smooth and velvety, a lovely caress on the skin. I love its square point, very effective in giving a precise shave with just a simple touch. I also used the popular Omega 48 bristle brush - the shaving brush of professional barbers - big and effective, capable of mounting lather with no efforts at all. A generous splash of my Bay Rum aftershave, and now I am ready to go.

I have always had a passion for Japanese kamisori and I have some of them in my collection. The same passion is for this stunning Mastro Livi kamisori, made of Mastro's carbon damascus steel, with a simple yet very elegant pattern. Not to mention the joy of shaving with Mastro Livi brush, an excellent silvertip badger with a large handle perfectly fitting my hand. Add to this the magnificence of a super performing shaving soap like Martin De Candre and the finishing touch of Floid Black, what I got is a a superb shave.

I love this thread. I honestly am fascinated by Mastro Livi's work. I hope someday, I get the chance to travel to Italy and commission a razor as well as attend its construction. That has become a real dream for me to work toward.

Thank you for your appreciation about this thread I started about two years ago. I do sincerely wish you to get the chance to come to Italy and watch Mastro Livi making your razor very soon. I am sure you will not regret the experience!
I case you are coming, I would be glad to help you with the language and to take to Mastro Livi workshop. My pleasure!

On the day that I ever should set foot on Perugian soil, it would also be my pleasure to meet you and talk to the Maestro together. Here's to hoping that day arrives. Cheers!
