Thats a spray pump, atomizer, not to be confused with blood pressure reading or gas priming!

If you've been shaving with this while travelling, how've you been storing / packing the razor? Obviously not having a folding handle means the blade's always exposed; it's basically why I never take my kamisori anywhere, though if you have a solution to that...?

I simply store it in its box. The one in which Mastro Livi sells his razors. You can see the picture of the box here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...ml#post1173833

Ottimo video, è buono a vedere come i suoi bei rasoi sono creato e io sono contento anche perché, mentre non ho il vocabolario tecnico, capisco ancora l'idea generalmente di che cosa dica il Mastro.

Obviously there are subtitles, but still...

I also like the way that he doesn't sign the blade until after he's test-shaved, just to illustrate that he won't put his name to it unless it's perfect.

Dear PigHog, I am glad you appreciated the video and also commented it in Italian. Very good! Molto bene!
Congratulations for your Italian! I hope you however appreciated my subtitles!
As for the Mastro signing his razors only in case the razor meets all of his quality standards, I can witness this to be absolutely true.
I must say he is very strict and exacting in every phase of production, paying a huge deal of attention on every single and tiny detail before passing to the next phase.
I can confirm Mastro discards any blade or razor not meeting his standards at any phase of the making. He has shown me a box with many blades, some of them also completed, that were in his opinion bad or having faults. To me, most of them were just wonderful, but at his experienced eyes they had faults in some aspects. To my wonder, as I could not see the reason why most of those blades were discarded, he explained to me the reason why and, I must say, most of the times were just minor defects and I am sure most of us here would have been elated to have that blade anyway! (Including me, of course! )
He said he does not care: a fault is a fault anyway and he prefers to start everything over from the beginning instead of "cheating" on his client.
To me, it has been a wonderful day and the Mastro, as usual, has been very patient in explaining - I would better say, teaching - every aspect of the making. Simply remarkable!

Great video, thank you for posting it!
...just one thing: you said the video was in italian but when I watch it, it has no audio...only music the last 40 seconds when the credits start.
