Shave three Saturday afternoon.
WTG was a little worse, but ok. XTG had some pulling and some was smooth. Mostly depended on which side of the blade I used. Same on ATG. The shave was not bad but not as close as I normally get. I had stubble a lot sooner after each shave.

Update:
I have had the Admiral packaged up ready to go for a few days now. The only problem was trying to ship him. The USPS did not want to do it. I found info online but when going to the post office, the options weren't the same, and way more expensive. UPS wanted almost $50 dollars to ship when I went to a store there. I finally signed up online at UPS and printed off the label. I hope I did everything correctly, it took 40 minutes to do it. Alas, I printed off the label and the store is closed. I will have to send it out Monday afternoon from work.

Oh man, sorry to hear about the shipping difficulties. I wonder why USPS wouldn't do it? Odd.
At any rate, I shall have a chat with my razors to ensure they are kind to their guest when he arrives.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Oh, I know they WOULD do it, but I needed to do lots more work and the lady there (always) seems like she was having a tiring/bad day. They also don't offer tracking to Canada. I thought about going "registered" but the lady says, "we don't offer signature confirmation." Even as the USPS website had an option. And the price was way more than the website pricing calculator. In the end, it took a few days of research and trips, but I should have The Admiral out to you on Monday. UPS delivery looked quicker too!
About those other razors:
At first there was some commotion in my razor box. It seems the Genco and Sheffields joined the Gold Bug in raising a ruckus with the Admiral. I finally seperated them and put the Heljestrand between them and they all calmed down....

The one thing that I learned very early on is to just mail straight/straights! Don't complicate things! I always just list them as 'Shaving Accessories)!
When I’m asked all of the stupid questions (like is it a sharp/pointed instrument) I just say no! A mate of mine in the UK had to talk with the supervisor at his local post for 45 minutes to convince him that he wasn’t sending anything ‘dangerous’! He’d made the mistake of saying that they were straight razors he was sending me to hone!
As far as the pricing difference between the USPS and the UPS store, I find that I can send using the USPS much cheaper than the UPS store! Especially if I want tracking (it's $0.90 more)! I’ve never used regular UPS to ship international as it's quite inconvenient but here in the USA I’ve found that the USPS is the way to go!Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

UPSP did not offer tracking nor signature confirmation (according to the lady at the counter). But, I think the Admiral has stalled our system long enough.... I just got an email that it will be in transit to our North American brother!!!!!

You must have treated the Admiral awfully well as he clearly doesn't want to leave.

I did speak nicely to him and tried to keep him comfortable with a nice bed and all. The Admiral behaved himself pretty well after the initial skirmish with the other blades. I didn't have any Soligen blades to help out the Admiral, just English, American, and neutral Swedish steel.
I really wanted to test out the short blade. I wanted to see how well it did the hollows of my neck - which is my problem area. The shape did a little better than the traditional western style, but I still had to use my DE to go ATG. The shape was really handy for getting around any facial hair that I did want to keep. I was glad to have the experience with it. However, I am not sure I will be shipping anything to Canada soon (except myself!).
The tracking shows that it is in the great Northern Country in transit as I write this. Use in good health all!

When the Admiral visited the U.S prior to the war he wanted to travel to Canada but they wouldn't let him, something about documents and politics. He has never forgotten it. His beef with the U.S is business but his beef with Canada is personal so watch out up there.
