I hope everyone that ships Kamisoris has a chance to see this thread and will follow these suggestions.

I just recently purchased two Iwasaki Kamis from these forums classifieds, both shipped in the original plastic sleeve and just put in the wooden box that they are sold in. Left to rattle around in the box with nothing but the plastic sleeve to protect the edge.
Both advertised as shave ready and both arrived with impact damage to the edge that rendered them no longer shave ready and will require bevel restoration.

Please, if you sell-ship Kamis take a little extra time and effort to package them as suggested above to help them arrive in excellent condition.

Thank you to all that have contributed to this thread with great ideas for the adequate protection of non folding razors while shipping.

I use old paper towel roll centers for shipping razors. Stick the razor in, fold the end, tape it, fold & tape the opposite end. Put it in the good sized box with bubble wrap. So far so good. Toilet paper roll centers for shaving brushes, if I don't have the original box.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
