    Thanks Xman. I'm not sure if I am missing it, but I don't think that's exactly what I was looking for. I get the list of manufacturer's (another good resource), but is there more there I am missing? I don't find anything under their razor books. I guess I'm looking more for is the blade art for asthetic purposes or does it signify a specific model of razor.

    Razors had all kinds of markings. They had numbers and they had names kind of like car models now but back then there were no consumer protection laws so manufacturers could put anything they wanted on any product. The particular numbers probably reflected differing sizes and decorations and maybe grinds in the razor lines like Double Duck with the special #1 or Goldedge or Satin Wedge. Some may have meant something and some meant nothing.
