MAAS works very well. Almost nothing we want these days is available locally. That's why these kids invented their internets, lol

That is true, a lot of people complain about the net but it seems to have brought a lot of things to the world, half the stuff Ive done was only dreams until the internet came about!

Well today I took the Dovo to Havachat45 to get shave ready, took it out of the box (4th time) noticed the heels bevel was folded over. Went to get the razor ready to hone and we opened it up and the the scales broke away at the hinge pin. It looks like a mixture of the hinge pin not being right, causing the razor to not line up right and the heel was catching, and the plastic looks as though it is weakened, deteriorated, so it cracked along it with out as much as a feather of pressure. I have contacted where I got it from and awaiting a return call to sort it out.

Heel catching on the scales?! - I'm surprised it shut at all with that much misalignment. Very odd.

I was very gentle and when I first noticed it i thought I did it. I would only close it very slowly and when i felt it touch I moved it back over.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, that drains all the fun out of it. I hope the seller comes through for you with a new razor. Seems there have been a couple of posts that I recall saying that a new Dovo had cracked at the pivot pin.

Thanks bob, havachat45 was telling me that same thing, seems like it could be a manufacturing flaw they dont know of.
