My 6/8 round point came shave ready and in perfect condition. My few dealings with customer service have been excellent. Give them a call on the phone, maybe that'll make a difference.

Is it cosmetic or is the edge-bevel affected too?

There are a number of grinding marks that do go into the bevel. What I find disappointing is that the $38.00 Hen & Rooster I purchased last year, has a far better finish on the blade then the Hart steel does.

That type of fit and finish is completely unacceptable. Continue your attempts to contact the vendor, I'm sure they'll be willing to help you get a replacement.

That's a Friday afternoon razor right there
One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.

Called customer service and spoke with the g.m. this afternoon. They are sending out a replacement which they will personally inspect to be sure it's defect free. I will post again once I get the replacement. Wish me luck, but I suspect all will be well.

The vendor you purchased from is reputable and fair minded. They do not work on weekends in their online business so there probably is no one to monitor emails during that time. Nor should there be. They also operate a brick and mortar store
in Palm Springs California that is not associated with the online biz, except for ownership, AFAIK.
I feel pretty sure that if Classic Shaving was anything but a trustworthy business SRP would not be running their advertisements on our site.
I am glad they are addressing your issue and I would have not expected anything less from them.
Enjoy your new Hart Steel razor.

Glad to hear that Hart intends to make this right. They have fully priced a great looking and generally great performing razor, and if they wish to stay in business they need to not have these issues and/or step up as they appear to be doing. SWMBO has decided I really don't need one of these razors at my advanced age . . .i am living vicariously. . .
