Based on the numbers and the drawing from post #14, I did some quick math and made a (fairly) to scale sketch. It looks like starting with a .25" thick spine at the toe, and tapering back to a .15"...

Correct. I measure where the hone contacts the spine, not the top of the spine. Tapering the thickness of the spine from the toe to the tail would allow for a varied blade width and still maintain...

Yes, sorry for the confusion. I should have made that two separate line items.
Grind: Near wedge. I'm going to be grinding it with a contact wheel so it will have a bit of an arc to it (not... -

I'm not looking for a 100% replication. More like "my spin" on one, but still close enough to recognize it as hearkening back to the 1700's. Here are my current thoughts (but are subject to change)....

That is exactly the type I was thinking of replicating. It looks to be fairly thick (1/4"?) and taper sharply to the tail. Am I seeing that correctly? Also, it looks to be a real honing challenge.

Average Spine Thickness of Razors from the 1700's
As the title states, can the guys who own a few razors from that area give me the average dimensions of them. Specifically I'm most curious about the spine thickness, but length and width are...
