    The seamed handle often throws people. Two things that mark it as an E3: The head has patent pending on it, whereas the G has two patent numbers listed. Also, the Gs do not have the flaps on the side...

    It looks to be an E-3 to me. The parallel grooves...

    It looks to be an E-3 to me. The parallel grooves on the safety bar are the tip-off. Since it's a white handle instead of the butterscoth it would appear to be the ones issued to the Navy in WWII....
