The seamed handle often throws people. Two things that mark it as an E3: The head has patent pending on it, whereas the G has two patent numbers listed. Also, the Gs do not have the flaps on the side of the spring.
I have two of these and there is something special about shaving with a razor that was used by one of our sailors in World War II.
