Just make sure you totally dry out the pivot... I would suggest not getting the pivot/scales/tang wet in the first place as the ideal solution.

My theory was to do with the way the tang tapers and the scales bow to create friction on the pivot. If overtightened, sometimes those factors combine to force the blade...

I have one that does that, but it's odd that a razor that used to close now won't. The one I have was restored, and it has never closed properly since.

I wonder if maybe the hot water did...
