    Friday evening
    Hot water prep
Joseph Rodgers razor - TOBS Sandalwood sc - Silvertip Badger brush - cold water splash - Calani balm - hot towel - Aziyade Eau de parfum sampler from Parfum d'Empire

Sometimes the razor just needs to be in the spotlights. This one sure does. Almost done with my tour through the sampler set of Parfum d'Empire. Aziyade is a very strong creation in my humble opinion.

there was a lovely story from a member who joined a few months ago that explained when he was a bairn he would join his grandfather in the bathroom and lather up with him using his soap and brush then shaving with a de razor but with no blade. then 40 years later or whatever i cant remember he is only getting into traditional shaving now and ordered a sampler pack of different soaps. not knowing what the soap was, when he smelled the tabac he instantly recognised it as his grandfathers and brought the memories back.
i thought you would appreciate this story, i want to be an awesome grandad that can teach how to tie flies and fish, shave, polish shoes and stir the perfect gin martini.

My son Blake cleaning up before starting his day.
One of the best things you can do is to have your son shave when you do.
He makes my morning trying to be like dad. Too bad I cant find a toy straight razor.

This is my shave of the day.
    Blake shaving with dad.
Best way to start my morning.
Too bad I can't get him a toy straight razor.

    Luis

Thanks. He gets really into it. His interest in shaving was a bonus I didn't expect. When I am getting ready to shave he gets his razor and loves shaving. This alone makes my shaving the highlight of my day. It's simply a father son moment I really enjoy.

Thanks you, I will look into it.

I absolutely loving his company. He is very curious and I just decided to get him a toy shaving kit. He loves the straight razor but no worries they are safely put away.

A Diego toy shaving kit. Looking into getting something cooler. But safety first of course.

Yup, I agree. Thanks for the support. I always wanted to post in shave of the day but never did. I felt this picture was perfect because the members in this site love shaving and I wanted to show his love for it. Looking at his shave never get old.

Just reading that story made me smile. Thank you for sharing it. Memories are the only things we get to hold on to. I want to be in my Blake's thought even when I am no longer here. The thought of him sitting with his son talking about something as simple as shaving memories with me would be amazing.

Strange, I brought my lovely MdC travel container soap (cheers Neil!), but since I got my Jabonman soaps (cheers Manuel!) I've only used the later - today: Jabonmans Lavanda, Bartmann razor (cheers MrMagnus), New Forest 2201 prototype (cheers Peter!) and Myrsols Formula C (cheers Senior Miquel). Fantastic what you can achive with some help from your friend Uberclean

I'm kind of cheating here as this was my birthday shave last Thursday.
My gift to myself was to book the week off work, get out of town, and spend some time amongst trees.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
