Generally, I really enjoying the SOTD Pics. Better than reading a magazine and so inspiring.

Woke from a DEEP sleep, funny dreams. Funny. Something about a flood. Plus I had extended my fence into the neighbour's land. Funny. Had one of those 'dead' arms. Exited bedroom, entered living area. Let the dog out. Washed the Mocca Pot. Ground some coffee with the vintage Spong grinder. Fifteen turns of the handle, same age as my younger son. Let the dog in. To the bathroom. Undressed. Looked in mirror to analyse physical self. Entered shower. Whilst showering analysed dreams. Exited shower. Dried self. Chose shave ingredients. Looked in mirror to analyse self. Made a lather. Applied lather. Stropped. Whilst stropping analysed shoulder muscles stropping. Analysed how cool it was that I could strop a very thin ivory scaled razor for the standard 30/70 and look in the mirror as I did it. Shaved. Great pressure, almost perfect. Only with the grain. It was enough. Applied after shave. Very nice. Applied EDT. Very nice. Weighed physical self. +700 grams. Dressed. Exited bathroom. Turned on stove under coffee pot. Wiped razor with Eucalyptus oil soaked tissue. Entered bedroom. Dressed (chambray blue French cuff shirt, Edwardian red glass and unpolished brass cufflinks, jeans, brown boots, grey jacket. Prepared and drank coffee (Vintage French Coffee bowl, two sugars, milk), checked this site and facebook and emails. Exited house. Got in car. Put on Alice Cooper (Flush the Fashion). Put on Ray Bans (metal framed). Drove car to work while singing (swapped AC for Ben Harper at the thirty k mark). Entered work. Worked. Exited work. Bought beer. Drove home. Entered home. Got boots. Got boot polishing gear. Polished new boots. Got camera. Got shaving gear. Arranged shaving gear. Took photo. Did stuff on computer with photo. Posted post...

Something was a little "off" with this shave, though I couldn't put my finger on it. Maybe I wasn't in the mood like I thought I was. However it goes, when I realized I wasn't totally committed I stopped after the 2nd pass and did a touch up. The one weeper was due to a bump and I would have sliced it no matter what I was using. My face feels and looks good, my skin feels pretty good but it wasn't my best shave by a long shot.
    Raven,

Don't beat up on yourself. Straight razor shaving is a lot like flying.

Remember...Any shave--just like any landing--you can walk away from, is a good one.

LOL Very true! I took it for what it was and just packed it up. Was very perplexed at what changed things all of a sudden, though.

The edge of the TI has become really smooth. I hope it stays that way for a bit. Great shave overall.

I found that after 5 or 6 shaves most blades do smooth out and good ones hold their edge for a long time... TI's are reputed to be excellent shavers so things are looking good for you my friend!
