    Prep: Lukewarm Shower
    Razor: 1910 Gem Lather Catcher
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Soap: Tabac/Olive Oil Superlather
AS: Extra Virgin Olive Oil/ Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel
    Finish: CK Obsession
    Stache: Firehouse Wacky Tacky

Call me crazy but I doubt there's a razor of any kind that can match one of these with a fresh blade. The spud and face are both catfish belly smooth. After a relaxing week or so off school, tomorrow I go back into the belly of the beast. I've promised myself to enjoy my last few hours of leisure time so perhaps a beer, a pipe and some music.

That is a rare bird! That patent razor was he first one that was made especially to accept a flat blade. Congratulations!

OMG, Richard, what a razor! But what if the angle's not correct? You're a brave man!!!!

Absolutely correct! I stumbled on this razor four or five years ago. I think I gave about $30 for it. All I knew at the time was that it was a lather catcher and I really liked lather catchers (although I had never actually used one.) Afterwards I learned that it was absolutely a superior shaving tool in every respect and indeed the first patent to accept a flat blade.

    Sunday
    Hot water prep
Some Spanish hollow ground razor - an American ridiculously large boar brush - a Dutch shaving soap - a cold water splash - a German scentless cream - a crew cut from the misses - a hot shower - an artisan Italian Edt

... and all of that out of focus...
Great shave. Have a nice week Gentlemen!

Very nice shave. This brush by pill feels so nice in the hand and the knot hold enough lather to shave 5 people. Love the big duck which has a wicker sharp edge.

Kids are back to school. Not happy about that but I was able to get a little ice cream from the creamery at Penn State.

    Monday

Razor | Mühle R 89 | Cream | Faulding ‘Shave’ and TOBS Rose | After Shave | Musgo Real Spiced Citrus

This morning I REALLY didn’t feel like either going to work OR shaving, I’m not sure if it was the three bottles of Stout I drank yesterday or the infection in my arm from my bouldering. I battled on regardless but when the arm remained puffy and swollen and red I booked in to see the doctor. Seems I have cellulitis, so a course of antibiotics is in order and three days off work. What that means for YOU guys is I’ll be annoying you around here over the next few days more than usual, there is only SO much daytime TV one can watch.

Oh, the shave. It went very well. I put the Faulding ‘Shave’ cream in the bowl and then spied the sample of TOBS Rose, so thought I’d mix them and see what transpired. It worked well. I’ll have the try the TOBS Rose by itself tomorrow.

I might be honing a few razors over the next few days too.

I must say I’m mightily pissed off I can’t do any climbing or weights workouts this week. Bugger!
