Razor | Mühle R 89 | Cream | Faulding ‘Shave’ and TOBS Rose | After Shave | Musgo Real Spiced Citrus
This morning I REALLY didn’t feel like either going to work OR shaving, I’m not sure if it was the three bottles of Stout I drank yesterday or the infection in my arm from my bouldering. I battled on regardless but when the arm remained puffy and swollen and red I booked in to see the doctor. Seems I have cellulitis, so a course of antibiotics is in order and three days off work. What that means for YOU guys is I’ll be annoying you around here over the next few days more than usual, there is only SO much daytime TV one can watch.
Oh, the shave. It went very well. I put the Faulding ‘Shave’ cream in the bowl and then spied the sample of TOBS Rose, so thought I’d mix them and see what transpired. It worked well. I’ll have the try the TOBS Rose by itself tomorrow.
I might be honing a few razors over the next few days too.
I must say I’m mightily pissed off I can’t do any climbing or weights workouts this week. Bugger!

I'd forgotten how good a single edge shave was. This razor is special because it is the founder of the feast. This was my first real razor when I started wet-shaving seven years or so ago. Needless to say, my first few shaves were a bit rough but after watching Manic's videos and lots and lots of practice it just seemed to take off from there. The older I get, the better I was

Razor | Klas Törnblom | Cream | TOBS Rose | After Shave | TOBS Mr Sidney’s
A late shave today at 12ish after a haircut. The TOBS Rose cream is quite nice; I’d probably buy some after trying this sample. The Klas Törnblom did a fine job. I tried a clear water ATG second pass, as spoken about on the forum recently, and didn’t really like it. I always add water to my lather to make a thinner lather for the second ATG pass anyway, but I found using just water didn’t give me the glide I wanted. It also seemed to cause just a little bit of irritation.
The first blossoms have started in my garden and the afternoon will be quite warmish; around 22 which is the warmest it’s been for months. I may sit on the front veranda in the sun with a glass of light red and a book. I shan’t read a lot, I’ll read a few lines and then gaze at the birds in the in the Pussy Willow and the poplars in the distance and over at the hills.
