    Pre : Nivea face wash
    Soap : Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Brush : Vulfix "Piccadilly"
Razor : Gebr Lang Solingen 4/8"
    Post : Nivea moisturising balm
A/S : Vintage Bodyshop "Mostly Men" sandalwood a/s

    Finish : BBS

    Comments :
Another smattering of thin and watery lather from MWF. Tabac and TOBS have spoiled me, that's for sure. Also, although the razor felt rough, my Superspeed flare tip picked nothing up on touch-up strokes. Perhaps it's time to invest/purchase a 1-4 or 6K hone, as the jump from 800 grit to the "Dragon tongue" seems too much to have any effect.

Wow, a great shave with the Rocca! I am back to work today for the first time in a week. Off for knee surgery, got a small tear in the meniscus cleaned up. Wish me luck, it should be an interesting day...

I think it would not be wrong if you are using two stones between 800 and Dragons Tongue. A 1K and 3K I think is appropriate.
I never really go below 1K. Only very serious error on the cutting edge make this necessary.
By the way, very nice picture again today!

    WOW, Celestino!
Still on the mend from my spinal facet joint injections, but that doesn't stop the enjoyment from viewing your varied and fabulous outdoor pics, my friend.

Thanks. I've been eager to get a couple of straights into shaving condition. Although they're rough, they're delivering BBS shaves... with some scraping. There's little left for a DE to remove, once I've used a straight. It's now just a case of saving up for the relevant hones.

... and some more straights. I guess RAD never leaves you.
