Yes for sure, it is a "meraviglia umbra" and thank you for your appreciation. I am very glad you like it! It certainly is a "meraviglia umbra" ("Umbrian wonder", for our non Italian speaking fellows) but I would certainly add, it is a truly genuine and amazing "Italian wonder", a "wonder" for anyone having a passion for straight razors, no matter the nationality.
Here in Perugia and Umbria we are very proud of Mastro Livi and of his noble art, talent, craftsmanship, wisdom and humbleness. He is a real gentleman as well as a genuine kind and polite person. To me, he is also a "maestro" in the very meaning of this word. I will always be grateful to him for all the precious things he taught me about straight razors and shaving, as well as for the high honor he gives me in watching him at work and to spend time with him.
It is so sad to see there are some in Italy - who cannot be compared to Mastro Livi in any way, artistically and technically, not to mention in politeness and fairness - who sometimes denigrate Mastro Livi and his art just because they are aware of the fact they cannot be compared to him at all. It is very sad, very hypocrite.
It is very sad to see all those Italian "hoe makers" denigrating Mastro Livi by denying his knowledge, art and talent in order to make their "ugly hoes" appear better while they certainly are not.

I love that photograph, thank you for sharing. It remains me of our place in Finland but we are only there either in the winter or in the summer. Must make an effort for some vacation in the autumn..

Shorter blades are my preference as well, they are just so nimble!
