Today in the U.S. is Veteran's Day. And my shave is an homage to all those who have donned the uniform and said to the rest of their fellow men and women: sleep tight, for I will ensure your safety. I met some of the most incredible men and women during my years in the service. Each and every one of them sacrificed in ways that no one can imagine unless he or she has served. Thank you all for your service!

He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

I think as men we often link our shaves to our fathers. My memories are always Old Spice, an interesting looking DE razor in the bathroom cabinet, and Saturday afternoon my dad sitting reading the paper after mowing the lawns, newly shaved, and all brylcreamed up.

My father is still with me, and to be honest, I'm not sure I'll miss him that much when he's gone. I'm glad you miss your father; I hope my kids will miss me. I hope I'm communicating this right.
You communicated it perfectly, thank you.
