I spent a few minutes before the shave giving the edge a bit of refinement. A 4 pass shave without irritation proves it's plenty sharp and comfortable. It is quite a nice razor (I'm a big fan of the jimps on top and bottom of the tang) and it almost makes me want to buy one now.... almost.Keith
