Strop: SRD Modular Paddle
Razor: Newly acquired W&B FBU 8/8 Wedge
Astringent: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
EDT: Royal Rugby
Result: 3 pass BBS shave. That razor is a monster in a good way, but was like velvet on my face.

I just finally had my first shave with my Thiers Issard #69 frameback (same as pictured above), purchased it off the classifieds here a while ago, recently got it back from being honed and cleaned up, only change it needed was a new wedge.
Anyhow, was just blown away at what an absolutely great shave this razor gave. Easily controlled, very nice, almost effortless DFS using Proraso Red, just meant to have a quick cleanup shave and figured I'd give it a go.
Just goes to show, you never know when a real winner will emerge....
