    Today's shave:
    Prep: Hot shower
Lather: Uber lather of MWF and Castle & Forbes Sandlewood, 5 drops glycerin
    Brush: Thater Badger
    Strop: SRD Modular Paddle
Razor: Newly acquired W&B FBU 8/8 Wedge
    Astringent: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    EDT: Royal Rugby
Result: 3 pass BBS shave. That razor is a monster in a good way, but was like velvet on my face.

Couldn't get a decent picture today of my set up so just a pic of the razor (that someone else took). Getting real tired of my useless camera.....

I just finally had my first shave with my Thiers Issard #69 frameback (same as pictured above), purchased it off the classifieds here a while ago, recently got it back from being honed and cleaned up, only change it needed was a new wedge.

Anyhow, was just blown away at what an absolutely great shave this razor gave. Easily controlled, very nice, almost effortless DFS using Proraso Red, just meant to have a quick cleanup shave and figured I'd give it a go.

Just goes to show, you never know when a real winner will emerge....
