    SOTD Jan 12

    Prep: hot towel
Razor: G. Wostenholm & Son CANUCK
    Razor: WW2 Gillette Khaki
    Blade: Feather (day 5)
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword
    Soap: Proraso white tub
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: cold water, Proraso blue

Two passes with the straight again, WTG followed by XTG, face only. The hot towel didn't do a great job of face prep, so the XTG could have been better, but still a nice smooth shave. Back to the DE on the neck, also two passes.

It's going to take a lot more time to get proficient, but I'm enjoying the straight razor shaves!

    Good morning!

Today’s shave consisted of the following set-up:

    - Jabonman’s Vetiver-Mandarina-Litsea Cubeba shave soap
    - Mühle nickel-plated travel shave brush, 21mm STF
    - Wacker Barbier’s Bride with a singing 6/8“ blade
    - Bloc Osma Alum
    - LOGONA mann after shave

This was my first shave with this straight which I initially wanted to sell (don’t ask me why) but am glad that I saw the light and changed my mind.

This blade delivered an incredibly smooth shave. I must add that this was not the edge with which this razor left Mr. Wacker’s workshop. A friend of mine honed the edge up from scratch (as he did on my Wacker Chevalier) and I must say; he did an amazing job.

I really have to find the time to take some decent new SOTD photographs! In the meantime, I have added some pics of this beauty here in the Wacker thread.
