Thanks Magnus! It is very thin for such a large blade. It's a full 9/8 and slightly bellied hollow.

Pre shave prep: Hot shower using Yardley Oatmeal and Almond. Lovely soap.
    Followed that with hot towels.
Shaving cream: C. O. Bigelow. Wonderful cream. Nice, rich lather with a wonderful feel on the skin. Love the Eucalyptus or menthol or whatever's in this stuff.
Brush: VDH Boar that came with the premium kit.
Razor #1 Boker SS St. Louis straight for one pass, with the grain. Finally got the right angle on this blade. Lovely, smooth shave. No nicks. One little scrape on the chin. Just a bit pink, but no bleeding.
    Razor #2 Gillette Lady Gillette
Blade: Dollar Store Dorco. Lots of disdain for the Dorcos here, but personally, I would be happy if this were all I could get. Nice, clean shave with no irritation. One pass against the grain, another one across the grain along my jawline and neck.

Cold water splash followed by Aloe Vera gel. Cleaned and oiled my SR to let dry.
    Swiss Army AS balm
    Halston AS
Notes: I'm moving into my second week of SR shaving. I could be happy the rest of my life doing one pass with the straight(or two) and cleaning up with the DE.
Love the C. O. Bigelow cream.
One of if not the finest, smoothest and cleanest shave of my life. Can only feel a bit of resistance on my right jawline when moving my hands against the grain, otherwise as smooth as a baby's bottom. I'll call it a Darned Fine Shave because I can tell there's potential for even better and better ones.
    Have a lovely shave, everyone!
