I normally use a SR first, then clean up with the DE, but I just got a few Feather blades in the mail from a friend, and I wanted to try them out, so I only used the DE today. Thanks, hillbillypick!
A very smooth 3 pass shave. Near BBS.
I had heard how sharp this blade was, but the descriptions did not do it justice. I made 3 passes using little to no pressure. The blade cut smoothly and left very little irritation behind. Caught myself just a tiny bit on the neck, but I had two nicks from a previous shave, one directly on the chin, and one right at the little crease between my bottom lip and the rest of my chin. The blade cut smoothly over these and did not re-open them. I never even felt it. That's fairly impressive, IMO. And I got one of the smoothest shaves I think I've ever gotten in my life.
I'm going to continue to use and evaluate this blade, but first impressions are that the Feather Hi Stainless is a great blade.
