    Wednesday, April 16th:

    Prep: Hot shower

    Strop: SRD 3" Black Latigo

Razor: Kissing Cranes 5/8 round point won from the "Let's have a contest, oh boy!" thread (Thanks, Nelson!)

Brush: Van der Hagen boar brush

    Soap: Williams Mug Soap

Bowl: Custom modified bowl, made by the illustrious Razorfeld (Thanks, Richard... This thing works like a dream!)

Post-Shave Treatment: Gentleman John's alum block, cold water rinse and Master's Bay Rum

    The shave was fantastic!

Every time I use this razor, I'm blown away at how well it performs. It takes a great edge and holds it for a long, long time. Also, the sound it makes on my SRD strop can only be described as perfect!

Also, my new snazzy lather bowl from Razorfeld whipped up a huge, thick batch of Williams effortlessly. Seriously, the lather was so thick and so plentiful I stood my brush up in the center of the bowl and turned the bowl upside down. The brush held for a good 3-5 seconds before finally slorping itself loose!

Finally, the Gentleman John's alum is the best value for the money! This thing is huge, leaves my face feeling great and has a great case to boot! Also, my go to for my aftershave is Master's, which always leaves my face feelin' SMOOVE!

All in all, an excellent shave!

I want that scuttle but I need a plan. I need to replace the very handsome wooden mug my wife got me with on of those. BUT, as you might suspect, I need to do it without upsetting her. And there's the rub.
