Just about as rice and beans as it gets. Nothing fancy about this shave but the results. Had a small honing party in the wee hours of the morning. The edge on this one is spot on. Ah, old American steel.

    Prep - None
    Soap - Le Pere Lucien
    Brush - Vie-Long Zurito Blanco 13061B
Razor - Ever Ready Lather Catcher/GEM Blue Star carbon steel blade
    Post Alum - block
AS - Aqua Velva Ice Blue

Cold water face lathered shave. Man those horse hair brushes are a different experience, not bad but very different in face feel.

    ...I'm not kidding.
I haven't shaved in about 2 weeks, and the place I work has just introduced a new policy making ear muffs compulsory all day.
After a few hours, the ear muffs on top of my 2 week growth was unbearable.
So I went to the bathroom and shaved it off. Not the whole face, just the side-burns and back of the jaw area.
The knife is one I made myself, and have only just honed. So it had a nice fresh off the hones 1200 grit edge. Yep, thats 1200 not 12,000.
This was without a doubt the worst shave of my life, but not a bad story, and it got the job done. The ear muffs felt a lot better afterwards. So I thought it deserved the honor of a SOTD post.

Have a great week gentlemen, and thanks for the great posts and pics.
