Haven't done proper prep for at least the last 5 or so shaves. Honestly, results aren't bad. Sure, could be better but I find I am impatient to use the razor and for that nice feeling when you finish with the ASB and you're done. You know what I'm tlaking about

    H&J Special 5/8 hollow rp
    Plisson HMW 12
    Lucky Tiger Shave lotion
    Vintage Clydesdale strop
    Trumper's alum
CADE ASB (it's colder now, some change from CSF for variety)

good shave. LT SL lets me do multiple passes without irritation (unlike many soaps and creams), which is really nice. Now, if I liked the scent it would have been even better

    Cheers

Since Saturday's test-shave was after a shower, I did one before showering yesterday, with about 36 hours of growth on my face. The Workman performed admirably and left me with another clean, irritation-free shave, thus proving that it can take and hold a good shaving edge.

Last night I gave the other Workman blade a shave test, together with the horn-scaled Eskilstuna frameback (thanks Ivo ) that gave me a bit of trouble when I took it on vacation, while it wasn't quite shave-ready. It was good enough to shave, but the shaves werent' comfortable and were lacking in the closeness department.
The Workman performed as well as the other one I tested, so I'm very pleased with those blades.
After the final honing session, I am finally seeing why Ivo likes this particular model so much. The shave was on the par with any of the steady performers in my rotation.
