This is my 1st SOTD (Phrank made me do it!). Go easy on me!
Razor: Otto Deutsch Hans 9/16"
Honing: Norton 4/8k, Naniwa 12
Stropping: Kevin/Hidestoart Custom English Bridle (about 200 laps)
Soap: SRD Opus X
Brush: Ray/Walleyeman Camo and Brass 24mm Silvertip Badger
Aftershave: Homemade Secret Recipe Bay Rum with Patchouli Vanilla
Result: While I got a BBS shave with my beautiful new Hans, I still struggle to wield any full-hollow as adroitly as I do my preferred big wedgy Sheffields. They just don't wipe off the whiskers as effortlessly; it's probably my honing. But the Opus X provided a rich, luxurious lather with a heavenly scent, and the patch/vanilla bay rum was a nice finish. I am extraordinarily blessed to have friends who are such talented craftsmen for my other hardware, too!
Have a nice day, gents, and thanks for all the other inspiring SOTD's! AaronLast edited by ScoutHikerDad; 07-23-2014 at 07:06 PM.
