A Sad Morning at Casa GI
So it all started several months ago. A coworker learned she was pregnant and had become so as her man prepared for a deployment to Afghanistan. Now EVERYONE knows that pre-deployment babies are always girls. I was so sure of it I told her I'd bet my epic handlebar moustache on it and naturally she was only too eager to accept. This is no ordinary moustache, 7 inches from one waxed tip to the other. Well, she's had multiple ultrasounds and apparently her man didn't get the memo about pre-deployment babies. If this child is indeed female, she apparently has a few spare parts.

I really didn't expect to lose my stash and was very tempted to welch but being a man of integrity, I amputated the stash this morning. The shave was nice but it's obvious I haven't had near enough practice shaving my upper lip. The good news is that I've got a get out of jail free card to grow a Christmas beard. My grandaughter requested it so that when she came to visit it would be like seeing Santa Claus. Now if I can just not shave from October to December I'll be in business but I must say confidence is not high. In any case, I plan to have my bars back by spring.

1OldGI, my sympathy. Betting is such a risky business, I gave up betting when I bet my marriage would last.

I'll bet that's not the first time a cute young thing made you do something stupid. It was a great stash. One of the best I've seen. Now, a Santa Clause beard for your granddaughter is something special. It just doesn't get much better than that!

Up at the crack of dawn this morning hammering on school stuff. Decided to take a break for a quick shave and some coffee. Hopefully by noon or so I'll be all done and can go out and play.
