5/8 Grelot Lotus
oxford & cambridge
homemade boar
it would be interesting to pick up a few more of these grelot lotus p.o.s. razors, really, you can trust me. truth be known, i'm pretty enamored with this blade, just a very nice shaving razor. IMO, about as good as it gets. Takes and holds it's edge wonderfully. Have a good one.

Thanked: 135Veterans day is not only a time to think about and thank our veterans but for me, a time to think about and thank my dad.
Three of my razors were from him and I don't know if he actually shaved with them or not. He gave them to me in the 80's and has since past away. Wish I had asked him.
Though I never served in the military my father served in the army for 20 years and pretty much hated it from all accounts. In honor of him I chose today my most challenging blade. Last night I put it on the translucent arkie and gave it a nice strop this morning.
Soap: Saponificio Varesino 70th anniversary edition
Brush: Edwin Jagger Best badger
Razor: No name Sheffield Silver Steel 4/8
Smooth.
Thank you Veterans!
(for the day off too)

after a retinal tear and laser surgery 2.5 weeks ago, I never thought I'd use the kamisori again. Praise the Lord, just a little blood on the earlobe. But this blade always did like a little earlobe blood. Amazing what the brain can compensate for.
