This was my first shave with this razor. I found it in an antique store some time ago. I honed it yesterday on my Naniwa stones. I was very pleased with the keen edge on this razor. An absolute pleasure....it shaved like a dream.

    ---Sunday Birthday Shave---
    Razor--W. J. Donovan Baystate 400, 6/8.
    Strop--SRD Premium 1 and Illinois 6454.
Soap--Willmo a soap concoction of William's Mug and Creamo.
    Brush--VDH badger.
Aftershave--Alum block, witch hazel, and a generous splash of Aqua-Velva Musk.
    Pomade--Mitch.
Result--4 pass. Two WTG and two ATG. Technically this was my last shave at 59 years old. I finished it up just 5 minutes before turning 60. This also marks the start of my 46th year of shaving with a straight. BBS coticule smooth to mark MY day. You gents have a great week.
