A fine shave to start the year as my daughter moves back out with her b/friend. Mixed emotions indeed on the first day of 2017.
At least I get to reclaim my shave cave!

Strop--SRD Premium 1 and Illinois 6454 both sides.
Soap--VDH.
Brush--VDH badger.
Aftershave--Alum block, witch hazel, and a generous splash of homemade bay rum with lime zest.
Result--4 pass silky smooth shave. No cuts, nicks, or razor burn. I think this razor destined to be my Sunday shaver. You gents have a great week. Next shave is Wednesday when I get back to my normal routine. Look sharp and smell nice for the ladies.

My wife and I had a bad Christmas Day... All day at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic, and we had to euthanize our little 13+ year old Gordon. Very hard .. I took the week off from many committments, but life must go on.. Enough said on that subject..
